I know that my dynasties probably really suck compared to others but want to come up with a new one. I've narrowed down the ideas and wondered what kind of interest tehre would be in the following ones.

The only caveat is that the dynasty may not be posted on a regular basis as I may be traveling for work a bit more (and the other events that life can throw at you when you have a couple of young children).

I have narrowed it down to the following:

1) Vampire: The Masquarade - A dynasty based on the dark side of benig a vampire in the modern world. Which faction to chose, what path to take, how to keep your secret guarded from the outside world and the biggest problem of all, how to feed without detection.

2) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 - A dynasty based on following a young jedi through the decisions that will form his ultimate path to light or dark.

3) Fast Break College Basketball - A young gun coach has hit the circuit and is looking to start making a name for himself at a very low prestige school with dreams of college glory.

4) The College Years - Army's once proud football tradition has faded and is in need of new life breathed into it.

5) Top Prospect Dreams (TCY / FOF2004) - Follow the lives of the top prospects of the following positions: quarterback, running back, wide receiver, kicker, defensive end, inside linebacker, outside linebacker, safety and cornerback as they get ercruited by a college program and hopefully into the pros.

6) Top Prospect Dreams (FBCB / STB2003) - Follow the lives of the top prospects in all 5 positions as theyu get recruited, attend college (or not) and their pro careers.

7) A Shaman's Life (World of Warcraft) - Follow a Tauren Shamam as he attempts to reach 60.

8) Bully to You (ECHM:2005) - Take over the ECHL Atlantic City Bullies and attempt to take the team to glory in the ECHL.

Dola: Oops, had to repost. Forgot which numbers I gave the options and it wouldn't let me see the post.

I've always been a fan of the Vampire world created by White Wolf. Any idea how you'd run the dynasty?

I would basically just create my character and then go with it as the plot thickens out, no preconceived idea so I don;t pigeon-hole the character incase something more interesting arises in the midst of the game. (Not looking forward to a middle of the night trip through that haunted hotel again though, few things really creep me out in PC games and that is one of them)

I think there is a lot of potential for taking an RPG like KOTOR, or any RPG for that matter, and trying to write a story of the game you play.

I did something like this with Morrowind a couple of years ago. Tried to play the game as an evil female character and write a first-person story about her adventures. It was great fun doing it. It really forced me to keep myself honest with regards to playing the role of my character. I needed to ask myself why the character would do things they would do, and it greatly enchanced the game for me. Never posted it because I knew I'd never finish it, but it was a blast to do.

The tricky part with writing a story based on an RPG, I think, is fitting the massive amounts of combat that occurs into the story in a way that seems realistic, doesn't get monotonous, and somehow fits in to the story you are writing.

Anyway, I'm not familiar with Vampire, but I'd be interested to see someone try an RPG.

Going with the tough, and long one, Vampire: The Masquerade

Since I can't play this game when my daughters are up due to major adult content and language, it will be a late night posting only for each "episode" (which seems kind of fitting for the theme).
