I visit this restaurant frequently and up until a few weeks ago they had rather mundane names for their food items. But they were effective and you really cant complain about them. But then the owner of the restaurant decided to change the names of a lot of the sandwiches around, and not that many people were comfortable with the new names. Some people were even a bit peeved about it. So I wonder what the group generally thinks.

Is the owner French? When I was in Paris, I discovered that this is and has been the name for the Quarter Pounder for some time, if not since the dawn of time. I wonder if it has other names elsewhere..

Royale with Cheese does sound so much more streamlined and regal though.

EDIT: HA seems to enjoy sandwiches a lot, maybe we should wait for him to weigh in. :)

I think the old sandwich names are much better then the new ones.

when you're balls deep in a sandwhich, you'll be surprised at how little they care what they're called. the humiliation from being fucked and not eaten is harder for them to cope with than what you call them.

I don't think it matters much to me. If I had been eating the fancier sandwiches it may have bothered me, but my grilled cheese is now just a cheesy grill so not much difference there.

No Kidding man.. call me a pervert, call me what you will, but yesterday, I think I became a man. And my sandwich became my best friend..

In fact, I'm thinking about zapping in the microwave it for another go.

Talk about getting bang for your buck :)
