Big Ben of course!

Roethlisberger unanimous choice for top offensive rookie

Ben Roethlisberger did what John Unitas, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Brett Favre and every other NFL quarterback never managed by winning The Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

That's interesting. Who beat Marino in 1983?

I think it should be DJ Williams, but Vilma will probably get it. DJ had more tackles, more tackles for loss, same amount of sacks and more passes defended than did Vilma.

But Vilma had one INT that went for a TD (in a game that was a "national" type game) and Vilma plays in NY.

Nuff said, he'll get it.

On vilma's side he has more ints. And calls out the plays for the defence, and is in charge for audiables(which DJ may do, I don't know).

Maybe they will split it like MVP last year ;)

Funny but I thought I knew that Rick Mirer had been the 1993 offensive rookie of the year as a quarterback for the Seahawks...

Am I mistaken or what ?

Bettis won in '93.

Actually, Mirer did win the UPI AFC Rookie of the year. Bettis won the AP Offensive rookie of the year and the UPI NFC rookie of the year.

Imagine if the Steelers got who they supposedly really wanted - Phillip Rivers.

Go BIG BEN! GO STEELERS!

I think we were on about the 1983 ROTY, not not 1993 :)
However in 1993 it was bettis:

Yeah, if the award was the "Rookie of 3 games"

Hell, he had 800 yards and seven TDs in just seven games. I can't wait to see what he does with a full year... :)

I think Sean Taylor should be DROY. But, I'm a little biased on that count. Still, he played like a stud.

Well, Roethlisburger got all the votes, so i cant really tell if it was possible to vote for McGhee anyways.
