Why are these teams grouped as they are?
Bengals, Bills, Broncos, Dolphins, Lions, Ravens
Buccaneers, Chargers, Chiefs, Patriots, Raiders
Cowboys, Falcons, Saints
Eagles, Rams, Seahawks
Jaguars, Jets, Steelers
Colts

Hmm, this could be a toughy. The Lions seem out of place for a number of possibilities...

My initial thinking is that this has absolutely nothing to do with football per se, but rather with either the mascot names, the city names, or soemthing along those lines -- that this is a language/reference puzzle rather than a football puzzle.
For what that's worth...

An obvious note: not all 32 teams are listed. Since we have one "group on one", that would imply that there's some sort of criteria at play that 11 teams don't qualify for at all.
A good starting place may be to try to figure out what kind of criteria would result in the Colts being the only member of a group.

Maybe...he left out a team last time just for the heck of it remember. :)
But you're right, isolating something about the Colts is probably key. I just hope this isn't something statistical, but is either a play on words as Quik guesses, or something else entirely.

Doing some meta-thinking here...
You would hope it would have at least some connection to football or the NFL -- otherwise, why call it an NFL puzzle?
By the same token, if it was directly related to the team names you'd expect the teams to be listed by city in an attempt to add an extra layer of masking.

Gah.
"Jaguars, Jets, Steelers" should have been the giveaway.

First thing that came to my mind was something to do with a college connection, but I didn't really get the chance to think about it much. Nice job.
