Last night I took my wife (her birthday) and my 8yr old daughter to see Jessica Simpson in concert. I thought, this ought to be fun.. sarcasim intended.

I was quite surprised at how good the concert actually was. We were about 12 rows up, right side and my daughter was so excited. She is definitly one beautiful woman and can sing without lipsincing (hello B Spears). All in all, a fun night and much better than I expected.

I had a friend like that - a smart girl, but she would say the DUMBEST things. sometimes, her brain just seemed to work a little slower than her mouth - it took a while for her thoughts to catch up to what she said.

As far as concerts go, l've taken my daughter to 2 backstreet boys concerts, 1 britney spears and the american idol 2 tour.

Its amazing, most of the fans their seem to be gay men...LOL

The only concert I've ever been to that would be in this category was Debbie Gibson, who my then-girlfriend and I saw at Six Flags in Atlanta in the the late 80's (not my choice, obviously). Not only was the crowd 95% 8-12 year olds and 30-40 year olds, but when they did a ballad, everyone sat down. Being into rock/metal, I was not prepared for this. At one point, I was the only person still standing, and my girlfriend basically tackled me to the ground to avoid the embarrassment. I still don't get it - what the hell's with sitting down at a concert?!

I somehow always tend to get angry at the audience during concerts. When I was at Mizzou, Sheryl Crow opened her first headline tour in Columbia and the crowd just sat there. If I wanted to just sit there and listen to Sheryl Crow, I have the god damn album. I would stand up with my friends and the old fogies behind us would scream, "Down in front!" If only I'd had a snappy response like "How would you like a cup of shut the f*ck up up?" or "I got your cowbell right here."

Angelina is a hard one -- so hot, so yet freakishly odd. The making out with her brother and Billy Bob's blood in the vile on her necklace just freaks me out. There is nothing wrong with Jessica, however.
