nascar owner sim?

anyone know of a nascar sim that lets you run the team rather than doing the first person racing?

i'm envisioning something along the lines of getting sponsors, buying cars, hiring drivers and crew, etc...

maybe it wouldn't be that fun in practice, but it sounds like an interesting idea to me

None to my knowledge. There was a thread a few months ago measuring the interest in a NASCAR sim and I know there was some work on one earlier, but I don't know if anything ever came from that.

I think what you are describing would be what interests me the most (other than the all encompassing game that allows you to choose between playing as Driver-Crew Chief-Owner sim). A genre that has been blatantly ignored as a potential text sim.

sounds like EA's '05 effort plans to have some sort of team/owner type of simulation as well?

Didn't know you were working on this TC. I'm glad someone finally got around to making a NASCAR sim though. I'll be keeping an eye on it.
