I was discussing how we should handle the results of the Greatest Dynasty of All Time category with klayman, and he suggested a Hall of Fame type system where the top vote-getter each year is inducted into the Hall of Fame and removed from the pool for the next year. This would prevent the category from being dominated by the same dynasties year after year, and let some fresh blood get infused into the category. I like the idea, but wanted to see what the voting public thinks.

What are your thoughts on the all-time category? Should we give a first through tenth place countdown, or just go with the regular gold-silver-bronze setup that the other categories have. I can't remember how it was handled last year. I'll have to go look...

I'd go with a gold-silver-bronze format. I'm sure that's what you did last year. Another thought I was thinking of was having the Best All Time winner retired from the category much the same way the lifetime achievement winner is. We could induct them into some kinda hall of fame. That would stop the same dynasties (although they are very good ones) from being nominated every year. Thoughts?

I think that's a great idea, because I think that even if another dynasty comes along, X-Com is such a great game, and GB does such a great job with the dynasty that I don't think anyone could touch him in that category.

Hm... 9 for and 1 against. I guess GB has already voted ;)

My job entails a lot of proofreading. It's hard to turn off. ;)
