Can someone get a hold of Mel Brooks and explain what's wrong with this?

So they are basing a movie off the musical which is based on the movie?

This is like when Jimmy James on NewsRadio had his autobiography translated from English into Japanese and back into English.

if it didn't come out in the last 5 years, it's like it never existed.

I am typically against remakes as a general rule. I mean, can't people come up with something new every once in a while?

But, this could be very funny. Nothing will ever beat Gene Wilder, but this will be a very different movie than the first one. This is a musical through and through. I'm not a big fan of the music, but the new lyrics and staging are hillarious.

I'm actually looking forward to it.

They should title it:

Producers: The Musical: The Movie

I'm still waiting for someone like the Farrelly Brothers to have the balls to actually make a real version of Springtime for Hitler.

Many days no business comes to my hut.

Jimmy has fear? A thousand times no! I never doubted myself for a minute, for I knew that my monkey-strong bowels were girded with strength like the loins of a dragon ribboned with fat and the opulence of buffalo... dung.
