Well, my apologies to Jim, who I would love to support buy purchasing a copy of FOF2001. But without a patch, I just can't justify it. I've upgraded my computer, so the Voodoo related problems I was having probably wouldn't be a big deal, but some of the other crash issues I've read about make me leery.
Thankfully I should still have a working copy of FOF2, which I meant to reinstall about a month ago but never got around to...
And I'm anxiously awaiting The College Years, which I'm confident will be a lot more problem free and better supported... even if the game ends up costing more, that's a great tradeoff in my eyes.
I guess it's understandable that EA would be reluctant to put a lot of extra development into a fairly low-profile title like FOF, but I guess I'd rather have seen that instead of the new interface.
