I have detailed this in the other forum, but the gist is:
When 1-year undrafted free agents are signed to 7-year minsal contracts before the season, then released, the salary cap is not computed correctly. You actually LOSE cap room by cutting these players. The same does not happen with drafted players or other FAs.
