A tight first half saw Delaware tied 7-7 going into the half. However, multiple mistakes and and an inability to adapt to the rain lead to a second half outburst for Ball State en route to a 35-14 win.
Pat Devlin completed only 36% of his passes and threw a pick-6 in the first half. He struggled with the wet ball and could not connect regularly with his receivers in the second half leading to several three-and-outs offensively.
Ball State, on the other hand, used the sloppy weather to their advantage and ran the ball effectively with Mikhail Lewis scoring three times and the team combining for 140 yards rushing.
Delaware drops to 1-1 in the inaugural FBS season and faces a tough Maryland team at home next Saturday. Considering the struggles the team has had offensively and a quality program like Maryland coming to Newark it is hard not to imagine the Hens falling to 1-2 after next week.

Timberwolves
12 Min Quarters
All-Star Difficulty
Trade 1 - Darko Milicic, Luke Ridnour and 2012 1st Round pick for JaVale McGee and a 2011 2nd Round pick
-This gives me a starting center and a second round pick for a backup at best in Milicic and a large contract in Ridnour who i don't need with Flynn running the point
Trade 2 - Sebastian Telfair and 2011 1st Round pick for Jerryd Bayless and 2011 1st Round pick
-The pick swap could pay off, it might not but i get the upgrade at backup pg anyways so i'm not to worried about the swap paying off
Free Agent Signing - Kelenna Azubuike, good depth behind Wes Johnson gives me a great 3 point shooter and a tenacious defender off the bench helping the Timberwolves defensive problems
Season Begins Now
Game 1 - Sacramento vs Minnesota
With a halftime defeceit of 11 stellar 3rd quarter play by Wes Johnson and "Be Easy" Beasley brought the Wolves within 8 heading into the final quarter of play a step-up from his disappointing game, Kevin Love helped the Wolves rally back and with 1:51 left Wes Johnson's clutch 3 brought the Big Timber within 1. 2 clutch free throws by Tyreke Evans gave the Kings a 3 point lead. With Wes Johnson converting again the Wolves were now only down 1 again, a tipped pass by Beasley caused a fast break for Jonny Flynn who was fouled on his layup attempt, he made the first but missed the second. Making up for that miss he then snagged the outlet pass dished it to Kevin Love who blew the layup which led to a Tyreke floater to put the Kings up 2. On the Wolves next possession Flynn made a nice pass down low for Beasley to tie the game up with a layup but he was heavily contested and missed his shot. Udrih then knocked down both of his free throws. On the inbounds pass at half-court Beasley pocketed a corner 3 to bring the game within 1. Udrih then played it clutch again nailing both free throws to give Sacramento the 3 point lead. Off the inbounds from Kevin Love, Jonny Flynn (31 pts, 13 assists) nailed a 3 to tie the game at 116 a piece. A missed layup by Udrih sends the game into overtime.
OT - After the amazing comeback by the Wolves they were just too tired and worn out to finish off the Kings and they fell in OT 131 - 123. Being outscored 15 - 7 in the OT period

With seconds remaining and Western Kentucky driving almost effortlessly down the field, Delaware seemed on the brink of a last second collapse and an 0-1 start to their FBS era. However, a sack and an incompletion on the Hilltoppers final two plays secured the 20-14 win for the Blue Hens in their inaugural FBS game.
Pat Devlin struggled in the pouring rain and several receivers had problems holding onto the ball but the defense played well and a pick-6 by Josh Ulrich pr0ved to be the game winning score.
Devlin finished with 197 yards on 13 of 28 passing and threw one interception. His highlight offensively was in the second quarter when he read the WKU blitz and hot routed backup tight end Colin Naugle on a go route which he completed for an 88-yard score.
Matt Marcorelle led the defensive charge with a game-high 13 tackles.
Delaware heads to Ball State next Saturday for their first FBS road game. While Ball State will be at home and should be slightly better than Western Kentucky the Blue Hens are expected to leave Indiana with a victory.

Washington Wizards29 Game Regular Season
10 Minute Quarters
Playoff Format is 5-7-7-7
Preview:
Coming off of a sweep of the Indiana Pacers, the Washington Wizards are running on all cylinders right now. But make no mistake, the Miami Heat are nothing like the Indiana Pacers. Last year, the Wizards upset the Heat in the first round and in doing so exposed Miami's weakness. That being a lack of depth at the C and PF positions. In 2012-2013 the Wizards were able to make big runs while Chris Bosh (PF) and Michael Chandler (C) sat on the bench. Miami immediately fixed this problem, drafting Marshall Plumlee (C) with their 2013 1st Round Pick as well as trading for Andrei Kirilenko (SF/PF). Both will have to hold down the fort while Miami's starting unit rests.
Washington is also improved however, adding all-star Danny Granger at the trade deadline as well as the signing of Josh Smith in the offseason. The Wizards now have a "Big 3" of their own. The star of Washington's big 3 is John Wall, who promises to come with his very best after feeling snubbed by the Voters in the MVP race.

Recap:
Overtime right out of the gate in game 1. Washington was able to fight back after getting outplayed in the 1st Quarter and get the game into overtime where a John Wall jumpshot with 14 seconds to play gave the Wizards the win. LeBron scored 39 points, but failed to connect on his most important shot of the game, a 3 point attempt at the buzzer that would've won the game.
John Wall wins Wizards Player of the Game for his triple double and his defense. His solid performance guarding Dwyane Wade goes unnoticed on the box score, but not to the people watching.

Recap:
Unlike Game 1, which was up in the air until the last second, Game 2 was never close. Dwyane Wade played better than he did in Game 1 but the Heat were badly out-rebounded again and have yet to stop John Wall.
Wall will again get player of the game for his 34 points in 34 minutes. The Wizards were up by nearly 20 when he came out of the game halfway through the 4th Quarter.

Recap:
A tale of 2 shooting performances in Game 3. Miami shot awful from the field while Washington couldn't miss. However, despite the 3-0 series lead the Wizards came out of this game feeling down. Both Danny Granger and Kentavious Caldwell sprained their ankles in the 3rd quarter. Both were held out for the rest of the game but will be able to play through the injuries. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James have to like their chances in Game 4.
John Wall wins his 3rd consecutive Player of the Game award after scoring 30 again. He has not dropped under 30 points so far in this series.

Recap:
Someone forgot to tell the Referees that the fans don't come to see them. There was a combined 93 free throws attempted in a non-overtime game. Aside from that atrocity, the Miami Heat got their first win in the series due in part to their 44 rebounds. Game 4 marked the first time in the series the Heat outrebounded the Wizards.
Tyler Hansbrough will win Wizards Player of the Game. He very nearly had a double double off of the bench. In a game where John Wall had an off night shooting, someone needed to step up. Wizards fans would think that would be Josh Smith, with Danny Granger injured, but Smith was invisible the entire night. Hansbrough seemed to be the only player aside from Wall who cared in the game. An upcoming free agent, Hansbrough is certainly playing his way into a new contract this post-season.

Recap:
The shooting woes continued for Washington, who seem to have transformed into a completely different team in the last 2 games. After jumping out to a 3-0 series lead, the Wizards have collapsed in the last 2 games, losing by 20 to Miami in this one.
John Wall will win Player of the Game because quite frankly, aside from him and Josh Smith, no one decided to show up. Terrible performances by 10 out of the 12 Wizards players. They better come ready to play in Game 6 back in D.C. because if they don't, Miami will have all of the momentum going back home.

Recap:
It was said after Game 5 that Washington had to come out ready to play Game 6. They did, but it wasn't enough as Miami evened the series and sends it to a 7th game, in Miami. John Wall was fouled with 12 seconds to go and made both of his free throws to give the Wizards a 111-109 lead. What came next silenced the Washington crowd. Dwyane Wade brought the ball up court, made a crossover move to his left, and made a move to drive inside. Just as John Wall committed to the drive, Wade hopped back behind the 3 point line and rose up for the potential game winner. Wall, now off balance, could do nothing but watch the ball sail through the air and eventually through the net. If the Wizards want to advance, it will have to be in 7 games and done in Miami.
Wizards Player of the Game will be John Wall. He will feel it is his fault they lost because of the last second shot but that's not the case. He played well the entire game, getting his teammates involved and hopefully can continue that in the 7th and deciding game.
Game 7
- Note: For some reason the game decided not to post the Box Score for game 7. I played the game a few days ago so I don't remember anyones stats other than John Wall's, and the final score. Sorry for the inconvenience.

- A dejected LeBron James walks off the court after losing Game 7
WIZARDS WIN!!! The Wizards reversed the momentum and won the decisive Game 7 to move on to the Eastern Conference Finals. The game was close throughout until John Wall put the team on his back in the 4th quarter. He finished with 29 points, 16 assists and 8 rebounds in the victory.
After the game Wall was asked if he felt redeemed after beating the team that had 2 MVP finalists, an award he felt he deserved. He refused to answer, only saying that he and his team are excited about the win and looking forward to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Atlanta Hawks.
Look Ahead:
The Wizards will face the Atlanta Hawks to see who goes to the NBA Finals, a team Josh Smith knows all too well. Smith, in his 10th year, played his first 9 years in the NBA with the Hawks and knows a number of the guys on the team very well.
Smith isn't the only one that has history with the Hawks. The entire Washington organization does. Atlanta eliminated the Wizards in the 2nd Round in last year's playoffs. Josh Smith is ready to show the Hawks what they are missing, and the Hawks are ready to show Smith he made a mistake leaving.
The Eastern Conference Finals should be a good match-up, and they will get underway on Saturday, May 17th, 2014.

After the big trade at the deadline, the Cavs went on a nice run, rattling off 8 wins in their first 10 games. Since then however, it has been a bit of a struggle, as the Cavs have slipped a litte and have only gone 5-5 in the last 10 games...
They are still a very solid 13-7 since the trade, and have been playing much better overall team defense. When proven defensive players like Billups, Ariza and Oden are added to your roster, this improvement on the defensive side of the ball is not really a big surprise.
As we get into the month of April, With a eight games in left in the Season, the Cavs are sitting at 43-31 which is 2.5 games better in the Central Division than the 2nd place Chicago Bulls. With only eight games left for both teams, the Cavs have a pretty comfortable lead.

Before the start of the Regular Season, The Kings knew they must get some new stars and rising stars to join their team to help increase their chances of playoff Berth. The 1st Trade they did was A trade in which new Center Demarcus Cousins and Udrih were traded from Sacremento for the amazing Point Guard Stephen Curry and Radmonivic and the Warrior's 1st and 2nd Round pick for this year's Draft. The Kings made more trades that let do the addition of Star Center J.Noah, K. Azabuike, P. George, K.Korver, K. Hinrich, T. Gibson, and McGee. Coach explained they needed a fresh new lineup for this year full of Young players with lots of Potential. This is the Starting Lineup for the Team For The First Game of the Season:PG: S.Curry
SG:T.Evans
SF:P.George
PF:T.Gibson
C: J.Noah

As you know, the Cavaliers had a "win now" mentality going into the trade deadline two weeks ago. That mentality landed them PG Chauncey Billups, SF/SG Trevor Ariza and C Greg Oden.
Some thought that it might take a few weeks for the new players to gel with the current players, however, that could not be further from the truth. Billups and Ariza have taken to their bench roles perfectly and Greg Oden has been a monster at the Center position. The Cavaliers have gone 8-2 since the trade, and have beaten the 45-11 Miami Heat twice in the last two weeks.
The trade seems to have given this team that "swag" and veteran leadership that they were lacking.
Here is a quick rundown of the first 10 games since the trade...
Here are the stats for Billups, Ariza and Oden over the last 10 games...
Chauncey Billups
8.4pts, 1.7reb, 3.3ast, 1.1stl
Trevor Ariza
10.5pts, 3.9reb, 1.1ast, 1.7stl
Greg Oden
9.1pts, 8.3reb, 0.8ast, 2.0blk
Stay tuned for further updates as we follow the Cavaliers all the way to the playoffs.
