Duke Football 2015
Posted on August 17, 2012 at 09:14 PM.

After last years dissapointing 7-5 regular season they were able to squeak out a 12-7 victory against Mississippi State in the Music City Bowl, salvaging what was left of their year. In the offseason Coach Cutcliffe stated that he wanted to make a move to another program to compete for the National Championship, and his opportunity came in an offer from South Carolina, after Steve Spurrier was fired. Much to the joy of Duke Football, and to the surprise of the media, he declined to job offer. And it payed off.

Duke enters the 2015 season ranked #24 in the country while South Carolina is no where on the list. The Blue Devils have eyes on more than just 24th in the nation and constructed their schedule around that vision. With a tough ACC schedule always garunteed, lower rated teams fill in their schedule as the try to put together the best record in Duke Football history, and hopefully finally earn a birth in the ACC Championship game.

They open the season against unranked Akron at home in Wallace Wade Stadium. This will be the first step towards the Blue Devils lofty goals.
