How much better NBA2k11 plays than NBA2k12. I'm not too knowlegdable on sliders and what each of them do, or roster ratings, but the feel of NBA2k11 is un-matched.
I got NBA2k11 on release day, I thought it was awesome. Played it a bunch, then even waited 1 month after the 2k12 release to buy it. The clincer for me was the amount of classic teams available to be unlocked in 2k12. Combine that with the NBA Lockout, I needed it. After I got it I thought it was great, new and shiny. I have played it pretty regularly since then. But recently I had one of my Associations that was in year 3 get corrupted. Lame. I tried to start a new one but I was so in tune with all the leagues happenings, it was hard to forge a new history. Double lame. The ole' fiancee wanted, no, needed to go to Marshall's here in Rochester NY, so I tagged along. I only did this because I knew there was a Game Stop next door. Boo Yaa. Went in and picked up NBA 2k11 for $24.99. When I got home and fired it up, I couldn't believe it.
I had originally planned on returning it after a week and getting my money back, but no way. This game is killer. I don't know, technically speaking, what it is...it just feels right. Responsiveness to controls, game flow, having your players not feel like they are skating across the floor, it all felt right. The number one thing about 2k11 that make it for me are the plays. Just the way they are run makes it so fun. Calling a simple 12 Up to D. Wade take 5 seconds, and if all the picks are there, he will get open for the shot. And get this...he usually makes it. I can play realistic challenging games on Sim/HOF. It doesn't feel like cheating on the CPUs part, it just feels, here that word again, right.
