Look before getting up in arms about certain ratings.
Think about this one thing. If a player is rated an 85 and one is rated a 90. Does that the guy who is a 90 a better scorer or defender in ratings based on an overall view point.
The answer is no. If Dirk is an 85 overall does it mean he isn't a threat to go for 30+ any given night. No. It means when you add everything into consideration all skills accumulate to the overall rating of 85. Dirk doesn't block many shots, he isn't a good on ball defender, he isn't a good post defender, he isn't high level rebound guy, he isn't fast, and etc.... Why shouldn't that effect his overall.
Let's say Durant offensively he is a monster, but he doesn't have a post game for his size, he isn't a top defender, he doesn't make a lot passes, and etc... Does that make him not one of the top players in the game no it means that just like in real life he won't be backing people down and locking down good scorers at his position which is true.
The numbers reflect an overall view of a player lol a higher overall means with everything factored in this is what we get.
It doesn't reflect one persons specialty or effectiveness understand that please. A lot of the players deserve the rating. LOL we can't boost certain things just because we are fans, but if you are it is your interpretation and view of their skill set. Not necessarily what is true to that player.
Last the inifinty engine was not physics truly done.
Like Back Breaker was.
All it really did for the most was branch animations at times, or really sensitive contact. Again I don't hear anything about the overal movement that is apart of physics. I hear and saw the animations that come with it.

NBA 2K13 seems like it will be that sports title that puts the game in your hands.
Meaning after playing the demo I could honestly look and see where it was my error that I needed to work on to improve upon to better my game.
Most Sports titles are very script heavy.
Determining the outcomes of events to it's liking instead of playing out freely.

With all the hype about the physics engine for Madden 13. Honestly no real physics has been shown. Just better player interaction when contact is made which is awesome don't get me wrong, but they have not shown real physics thus far in any of the videos. For example they have not shown what happens when a LB comes untouched through a hole and hits RB square. Or if a big TE lowers his shoulder on a DB after getting a head of steam.
