Remodeling a bathroom

Yesterday I started remodeling one of the bathrooms in my home. I am redoing the shower area and putting in a new sink. Nothing major right? Well....10+ hours in and a couple of hundred curse words later, I'm still plugging along. Nothing seems to be going right. The sink that I am replacing the old one with won't fit correctly. I measured it a couple of dozen times to be sure but for some reason it doesn't want to fit. On top of that, the tracking that my shower door is on, broke so now I have to go buy a new one of those and replace it.

I figured I'd have the sink done this morning and have a good start on the shower. Then I could finish it next weekend. I'm in worse shape now then before I even started.

Why did I even bother?

Its just a guest bathroom anyways.

LOL, that is ALWAYS how it works. Something that should take a few hours at most, turns into a weekend (if not longer) project. Never fails.

I haven't even gone back to it. I've been posting here at OS and playing NCAA Basketball '09 most of the morning. I got up early this morning to get crackin' at it, but this morning is when the shower track broke and I've said to heck with it for now. I'll stop on my way home from work tomorrow and pick up what I need and I'll do a little bit tomorrow. Not wasting the last day of my 4 day holiday vacation cursing and getting angry while trying to do what should've been a fairly simple, though time consuming, task. I'll yell and curse at the Raiders this afternoon as I watch them try and attempt to play football.

You finish yet? I and another guy re modeled mine a while ago with new tile floors, a new toilet, and a new sink. Took around 3-4 days

lol, yeah I finished about 2 weeks ago. I got the sink to fit, fixed the tracking for the shower door, and put in new carpet. Thats it. I did paint it as well. So I'm done. This spring I'm going to remodel my master bathroom so that could be fun.

Sounds good. I'm painting around the house now. Just finished earlier today. Always something to do around the house

You ain't kiddin. I need to paint a few rooms and I am looking at remodeling my kitchen. New cabinets, redo the tile on the floor, etc..

That should be interesting. I put tile floors down in my kitchen while I was doing the bathroom.

I haven't decided whether or not I want to remodel my kitchen. I keep talking myself into it, then I talk myself out of it.
