- Baylor - After a miserable 4 win season, Baylor has PLENTY of room to reach that number in the first 4 weeks, in games vs. Wake Forest (which shakes out to be a GOOD game.), UConn, Northwestern (State), and Kent State. Also, their coach Art Briles took a hap less UH team (see 0-11 with 8 wins in the 2000-2003 span) and led them to a 7,6,10, and 8 win season, with 4 bowl appearances. And if your not sold on Robert Griffin, talk to Dookie Mowf.
- Oklahoma State - OK State unfortunately just plays in the wrong division. In order to even reach Kansas City, they have to go through Baylor, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M who is a 2 years away from a decent season. But I've really like Mike Gundy and I think that he has the team to win a few this year maybe against Texas Tech. Not many people remember last years Bedlam game where OK State and OU were back and forth for most of the game. Also Zac Robinson and Dez Bryant arn't that bad.
- North Carolina - I really though last year was "their" year. But Butch Davis strikes me as one of those coaches who can coach a team on a down year (see; bsing a whole season) T.J Yates is a returning starter I think...as a junior.
- Alabama - JPW, the gorilla glue that held the team together, is gone. Andre Smith, Gone. Caldwell, He gone. And only 5 returning starters.
- Florida State - Need I explain? It's gonna be a long year for Haumiller...

He did.
3. Florida - Tebow of Nazereth isn't an Immortal anymore.

Just in case you werent geeky enough to get the reference.
I just don't see "Tim Christ" being everything he's made to be anymore. He's had 1 year where he actually DID anything, and that was LAST year. Sorry Gators.

Always and Forever.

Always and Forever.

I definitely wouldn't call this a down year for UNC. UNC kept most of their defense but did lose their top 3 wide-outs. And yes TJ Yates is returning as a junior. UNC's recruiting class was 6th for the high school class of 2009. UNC recruited 6 new wide-outs, including the #7 receiver, so their receiving core should be decent, as well as the #1 DE and 10 4-star recruits. I'm projecting a 9 or at least 8 win season for my Heels this year.

well it's not so much as a "down" year as it is the "year after". All those recruits only add to the list of reasons.

Yeah you're right they do add to the list of reasons. Damn I can't wait for football season.

Oklahoma State has a much better chance than Baylor. I could see Balyor improving but I don't imagine that they could win out in the south. I could see them at most winning 2 out 5. Also the north has definately caught up to the south as far as talent.

Should read: "I'm a LSU fan so I will put the rest of the SEC on the overrated list"

no, i really think that. In fact, i could put Ole Miss (i cant believe i said that) on the Sleeper teams list, but most people have already hyped them up and i didnt want to beat a dead horse.

Care to explain in a little more depth just how the Noles, only picked to win the weaker division or finish 2nd in our half of the conference are "overrated"? Just curious. And I hate the gators, but to call them overrated is just ridiculous. Back to the garnet and gold....I think we have been rated so far this year about right where we should be. In particular, Phil Steele nailed our strengths and weaknesses best. No one thinks we are back to wiping the field at will with anybody. We are also realistically rated because we have one of the toughest schedules in the nation this year which includes an opening game rivalry war with the Canes, BYU, some little school in south FLA that believes in the myth of a "Big 4" and the Gates. The only place we are even remotely highly rated is along the o-line. And yeah, he may be old and he may miss a few beats here and there now, but wow, have a little respect for a coaching legend.

Yes. First off, I have nothing but respect for Bowdon. didn't say a thing about him. I think Xavier Lee is coming along slowly but the defense is what im not sold on.

I don't think Xavier Lee will ever play QB for FSU. I don't think he is there anymore. On a side note, Tebow is a very good college QB. I'm not a Gator fan at all, but damn, can he lead a team and carry them to victory or what!

How on earth can you call Tebow or Florida overrated? Pure hater on Florida imo. Tebow has been phenomenal the last two years and the entire defense is back.
As for sleepers, Iowa could make some noise. Good coach and QB in a down conference. Someone from the ACC will makes some noise and I think Miami might be that team.

A lot of teams can be sleepers lol.
and im telling you, Tebow of Nazareth's act is running old on DC's. Tebow is a amazing player but it's a football team. Also, there are plenty of defenses that can easily shut down Tebow this year
