Hey man I was looking at doing a total rerated when Knights rosters drop. I can't seem to find a formula that satisfies me with control for individual pitches though, any insight you could share?
Sure. For each pitch, I take the percentage of strikes divided by the percentage of balls and multiply by 74.
74 was the highest strike percentage in the majors last year. It was Koji Uehara. If you like, you could break it down and use 74 for relievers and 71 for starters, which was Cliff Lee's total strike percentage last year.
