Now. I'm not sure HOW it started, and if it was decided that there would be a set date for these little blogs we get. But if this is what they initially decided to do, having a blog each Monday(Madden which is now Tuesday for w/e reason) and Thursday(NCAA), then they should have stood by it. When you tell a kid that you're going to go to the zoo on Friday. He/she thinks that they're going to the zoo on Friday. When that day comes, and they get all their stuff together and get ready, and you come home and say, "oh sorry, not today kiddo." It really hurts that kid.
Point being, don't say something, then not follow through. I understand if something technical goes wrong, or any unexpected event occurs. But I get the feeling sometimes its a load of crap.
Secondly, the over-moderation is getting VERY, VERY, VERY, strict. I don't know what the angle is, or what they intend for OS to be. But I'm starting to not like it. I understand not allowing people to go at it, or insult one another. But it seems like everything is shot down.
When I was in the 6th grade, my math and science teacher once told me, "Theres no such thing as a stupid question." And I still firmly believe that. Now certainly some questions can, in fact, be stupid. But I think the mods need to think about a few things:
1. Not everyone is on the boards throughout the day and sees everything. Some threads DO get buried. And not everyone takes the time to dig for em.
2. Search functions will never fully be utilized. You can force it all you want, and people will still not use it. *See seatbelt laws...
3. Closing a thread because a few guys come in and hi-jack it with nonsense is unfair to the rest who were involved. Simply delete those posts and slap infractions if necessary to prevent the argument from continuing. THATS how infractions should be handed out.
4. and lastly, Did you really think Dev's coming to the site wouldn't attract "Hey Ian" threads? Could you really be so naive? And are they all really in need of closing? I've seen some legitimate questions get shot down because it was perceived as a "Hey Ian" thread. Another example of "over moderation." Let it ride out. If the wave gets too big to handle, then close down the beach.
Thats really all I have to say. If you take the time to read this, then I thank you for your time. I appreciate you hearing me out. Maybe someone reads this and passes it along to the right person.

Why do people feel they need to quote the original post when they reply with something like, "LOVE this dude." Or "I'm with you on this"?
Is it really necessary to make the rest of us re-load what we saw 4 pages back? OH, and don't get me started on the people who quote posts with mass amounts of images and or videos. Gimme a break.
This should be added to the unwritten rules of forum browsing on ALL forums.
Quick reply FTW!
