While it’s still clearly very early in development, Stunt Derby is out right now in demo form for Steam Next Fest. It’s a destruction derby game mixed with a racing game. There is also a track editor, and it gives me vibes of old MS-DOS games.
I had a good time with the demo, but again, it’s obviously very early. I think the input lag is immediately noticeable and so this is not quite as polished as some of the other very good demos popping up right now during Next Fest. That said, these games are always a blast when the developers nail the feel, and I think the aesthetics and the general vibe is already locked down. It will really just be a matter of nailing down the driving mechanics and seeing how many cars they can ram on a track for online play.
