Spent quite a lot on fitness. I always do this when starting with a new team. It is very useful to keep a regular starting 11, where the players I intended to keep for some time can develop, while the rest work as back ups.

Also spent one point on negotiation. After I have the money I need for the transfers I have planned, I will invest the rest into negotioation to get players as cheap as possible.

Notes:

The strikers in division are awful. I rarely get more than one goal scored against me, if any, no matter how many chances they get. Of course it's the same story with my strikers, they waste tons of 100% chances. Therefor I decided to sign a striker instead of a centre back as I usually do.

Paloschi is only 18 years old, but is still by far the most talented player in the club. He should easily be able to play for another 12 years and hopefully his development will follow the teams. I can imagine him being in the mid 80's by the time I reach the PL. Scored 4 goals in his first two matches, single goal and a hat trick.

The next update will come after the January transfers has ended. Where I plan to atleast require 1-2 defenders and 1-2 midfielders.

Having been inspired by one of the blogs in here, I decided I would try to build a team from the ground up. Previously I have played with Birmingham leading them from the 1st. Division to Premier League and Champions League victory. This time around I decided to start even further down the divisions.

Rotherham United F.C.

After having a look at the teams available, my choice fell on Rotherham United. A 1-star rated team with a budget of about £400,000.

The reason I chose Rotherham is a rather shallow one. Since there are a minimal difference between the League Two clubs (1/2-Star to 1 1/2-star teams, budgets from £200,000 - £600,000) the only thing I cared about was the team kits, since I would spend tens of hours looking at them. I previously started a season with Le Mans. They had red and yellow checker patterns on their kits, I could only stand to play a few games with them.

The goal

I play on World Class difficulty allowing me to win most games, but still have a few draws and losses. My aim is to win the Premier League within 5 seasons. After some calculations I've come to find out that it will take me a minimum of 44 hours, not counting cup mathces.

Updates
Updates will come at the start and end of each season, and at the end of each transfer period. They will include transfers, results, standings and anything else I might find relevant.
