Absolute spot on. It's the same reason the FIFA series doesn't have a CPU v CPU mode. These games are developed with an engine that responds in a manner that counters your tendencies as opposed to an AI that can think for itself.

I think it's amazing that there is an AI in our generation ..it's artifical intelligence and it will NEVER !! be at everybody's liking ...Human vs Human is where it's at this years game ...I don't even see how it's fun without that human element involved, but everybody's different

The developer was being very honest in this instance but pouncing on his statement does relations with the community no favors. But you really expect EA is gonna shout from the rooftops that the A.I. isn't up to par? Of course not. Until they start work on fixing it they will never admit in an interview that the cpu is broken.

I still agree with you that Madden isn't up to par yet btw.

That developer deserves a promotion and a raise for being HONEST. I rather they be honest instead of just avoiding and brushing pass issues that been in the series for years.

If their sports games were made for user vs user play, there is no shame in saying that. It is quite a few games that are made that way.

To me, the way it should work is in "Play Now", you'd get Human vs Human under Arcade play.
Franchise should be set for CPU vs CPU with true Sim action.

I agree. They need to spend a lot of time on cpu AI. It has barely improved in 10+ years. The current gen took a major hit from the PS2 era and it's taken years to get back to what it was. EA is so focused on online play that this area is years behind where it should be.

I would appreciate EA or any other genre saying " look play our games online vs. humans if you want to enjoy it". Because those who aren't into interaction wouldn't get upset with the lack of offline creativity. We'd understand all the focus is put into online. As for Fifa the offline mode is better than Madden or the older NBA Live. The best offline experience is NBA 2K of recent times.

But looking at older Tecmo Bown vids today reminded me of the fun it was playing seasons. Players getting hurt and being shown leaving the hospital. Or the instant cutscenes. Looking back they incorporated alot into the experience. Then you look at APF 2k13 vids and just see the potential. But just as the video makers say. Come release day all the complainers will be at GameStop to buy the midnight release of NCAA & MADDEN even though they fall very short. The only solution is a generic football game that can rep College and Pros with an option to change the teams and leagues as in Backbreaker. With a gameplay engine seen in APF and physics like in BB.

AT LEAST A HAPPY MEDIUM. But Madden will never suffice. They're not interested in realism. They live to wow you with glitz and glamour. As much as I hate to say it 2k is like the ugly wife that Will and has stick by you through thick and thin. While that bombshell has smelly feet and halitosis. You love tge idea of her but you everytime you come close you hate the reality of her. Thas EA Sports.

I'll give it to 2K. They don't blow you away with looks but they represent quality gaming. It's amazing we can still play their games that are years old at a high level.
