This is the best roster the Knicks have had in 12 years because I'v watched The Knicks for the last 20 years and I'm not a total idiot when it comes to basketball. So I know, for example, that even an old Marcus Camby is an upgrade over Jared Jeffries. And even an old Jason Kidd is an upgrade over Bibby or Baron Davis. And that Raymond Felton is at least as good as Jeremy Lin (not talking about Lin's potential) and is better on defense. And I know that Ronnie Brewer is better than Landry Fields. I know these things because I watch basketball, especially the Knicks.
Some of you haters are right. We don't know how good they will be. Maybe Camby will have a stroke and Chandler will break his leg and Melo and Amare will get in a huge fight and Melo will somehow regress to being a child and hog the ball. And maybe Novak and JR shoot poorly all season. But the reason me and many Knicks fan are optimistic about this seaon is because its reasonable to assume that our team, with our off season acquisitions, will be better than last year's team, which still made the playoffs despite having a crazy amount of injuries, no PG for half the season and a coach quit mid season. You haters keep painting this picture of fans who are optimistic as being stupid and thinking the Knicks are gonna win it all. I haven't heard a single fan say something like that. Most believe that the ECF is a realistic goal and for a frachise that has been horribe for the last 12 years, that's reason to be optimistic. If we do make it that far, anything can happen. So yeah, I'm optimistic. I don't think that makes me stupid.
