Ravens. what, WHAT?!
Posted on September 10, 2012 at 09:27 PM.
Great start to the season. And let me start by saying, all you Flacco haters out there, if there's even anymore of you left, I hope you were watching. He made all the throws, all the reads, he controlled the game. Niceto hear Gruden and Tirico slurppin' up Joe and the rest of the boys, as they should. Flacco's deserved it for some time now. Lots of weapons on that offense, I don't need to go down the list, you've heard of 'em.

And the defense. That old, ragged defense. Yea they're gettin old, gettin old and makin plays. Lewis and Reed get physically older, but they also get wiser, as if they were'nt already two of the most intelligent players at their positions. Oh and they make plays. Good to see the young guys, fresh faces, new names makin plays too. At times they bent, but wouldn't break. 2nd half adjustments shut down the bengals.

That's what you get when you have solid coaching; good adjustments and great challenges like the one Harbaugh made to bring back a 1st down and make it a crucial 3rd. Speaking of Harbaughs, who happen to be excellent coaches, Jim missed his challenge Saturday, but got an even bigger win. Funny to look at the similarities between John and Jim's teams. But this is about the Ravens, not the 49ers.

With an organization like the Ravens, where you have excellence from the top-down, a hot start and high expectations are warranted. Ozzie Newsome is and has been one of the best when it comes to player personnel. These are not the observations of one game, these are the observations of well over a year. It's a natural progression, and that's why personally, as a Ravens fan, it's Super Bowl or bust for me. I've said it before, and I said it again. Hopefully the O's will even break their painfully long playoff drought.

That one was for you Art. A father of the NFL. R.I.P.

Quote of the Night

Joe Flacco (when asked about his great pass to Boldin):
"I'm sorry, which one was that?"

Haha, my man.

It's just one game, but after the Neuheisel, Cavanaugh, & Boller days that game did almost bring a tear to my eye. Proud night to be a Ravens fan.

True, i just feel like this has been inevitably coming. Im not sayin wer gonna hang 40 on every team, but you can expect to see a more explosive offense all year and thats very exciting to me. Definitely a great time to be a Baltimore fan. I hope the O's stay solid even in losing markakis.
