"So the gridiron faithful happily await the arrival of the new season, and you know what that means- another installment of Madden in Madden NFL 06. Fortunately, this year's version continues to define the football experience, from the Superstar Mode that walks your player through their entire NFL career, to the gameplay that remains just as focused on the gridiron as it's ever been. It would've been nice if the new features were better utilized in the NFL universe, but Madden finds its target regardless and makes for fine football."
"The humor in Outlaw Tennis provides some quick-and-cheap thrills, even if it does get old fairly fast. If you're in the market for a solid tennis game and can put up with the cheesy gags, Outlaw Tennis could be just what you're looking for. Despite its various faults, the game still manages to serve up an entertaining experience worth checking out."

Are you ready for the most watered-down, decaffeinated, "don't tackle me too hard", afraid of any competition, pansy-*** football videogame experience? Well you're in luck because that game ships tomorrow, and it's the only pigskin game censored (we mean endorsed) by the No Fun League.
"This game is so scared of the competition they should change the name of the game to John D. Rockefeller 2006 as these fools needed a monopoly just to feel safe with their No Fun League game. This move was about as cool as wearing socks with sandals in the summer, but that's all right, because over at Midway Games we don't play by the rules, we break them! And who am I you ask?"
"Yo, what up kid, this is Quentin Sands, defensive linebacker for the New York Nightmare. What, you haven't heard of me yet? Well, you better ask somebody…ask them if they know who the star player is in the most hardcore football videogame experience yet-Midway Games' Blitz: The League. Blitz is the only football game that tells it like it is…not how the league tries to convince you it might be."
"This is the game the league doesn't want you to play, and while we don't hand out awards in the form of Turkey Legs, we do have all of the on-the-field fury, off-the-field problems, and front office politics that are ubiquitous to a real football season. Get ready cuz' the League is about to get the REAL season started!"
BLITZ: THE LEAGUE
Arriving This October for Xbox and PS2
NEW JOHN DEERE GAMES FROM BOLD GAMES ALLOWS KIDS TO WORK THEIR OWN FARMS AND CONSTRUCTION SITES ON THEIR COMPUTER
MINNEAPOLIS, MN - July 27, 2005–Bold Games, a division of Destineer Publishing Corp., is once again partnering with Gabriel Interactive to offer two new John Deere games for Windows and Macintosh computers. Bold Games’ new Welcome to Merriweather Farm game shows Johnny Tractor and his friends plowing, harvesting, and taking care of the animals on the farm, while Busy Days in Deerfield Valley features Danny Dozer, Barney Backhoe and friends hard at work digging, lifting, and helping out around town. The games are based on Welcome to Merriweather Farm and Busy Days in Deerfield Valley, books created and produced by Parachute Publishing LLC (available from Running Press Kids Books). Both titles are scheduled for release in September.
“Merriweather Farm and Deerfield Valley have all the John Deere characters and farming equipment kids love,” said Paul Rinde, Chief Executive Officer of Bold Games. “These games help young players develop problem-solving and recognition skills, as they familiarize themselves with the world around them via a fun and interactive way.”
Welcome to Merriweather Farm features Johnny Tractor, Allie Gator, and Corey Combine, and offers an abundance of interactive opportunities. Children and their parents can help plow the field, explore the barn, plant the garden, harvest crops, and bring their goods to the market.
Busy Days in Deerfield Valley challenges kids with a host of fun adventures and assembles the same popular group of characters from the John Deere children’s book series. Whether helping Barney Backhoe fix the bridge, building a library with Luke Loader, or helping Danny Dozer find his way back to town, players will enjoy the wide array of scenarios over and over again.
“We are delighted to be working with Bold Games to bring our exciting John Deere characters
and stories to life through an interactive format for lots of learning fun!” said Susan Knopf, Senior Vice President of Parachute Publishing.
Available this September, both Welcome to Merriweather Farm and Busy Days in Deerfield Valley are being distributed by Cokem International and carry a suggested retail price of $19.99.

"However, despite not putting the gameplay through its paces at any great length, sampling its on-the-pitch nuances or exploring the extensive manager mode, we're in no doubt that FIFA 06 is warming up to be the most radically different - and vastly improved - update to the series yet."
"For the past couple years, we've been tempted to tell Madden fans to save their cash in favor of ESPN's release. But even without an improved and scalable AI, Madden NFL 06 is now a definitive upgrade. Until the next generation arrives, EA has the current hardware covered."
- Ski Racing 2006 Screenshots (PS2, Xbox, PC)
"Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super-G and Downhill - you've got to master all disciplines to win the great crystal trophy at the end of the season. It's your turn to earn the world's attention! The mountains are waiting for you, the speed is amazing - and the race feeling incredible!"
- FIFA 06 Cover Athletes Signed with Screenshots (Multi)
"EA announces Wayne Rooney and Ronaldinho as cover stars for EA SPORTS' FIFA 06, due for release this autumn. These partnerships build on the success of EA SPORTS' FIFA, Europe's best selling sports game franchise ever. EA also today announced major enhancements to the gameplay and management modes aimed at making FIFA 06 the total football game."
"Tennis fans you owe it to your gaming selves to pick up a copy of Outlaw Tennis. This budget priced game is well worth the low price. The humor might not be for everyone, but if you like outlandish characters, crazy game modes and bad, but good jokes and tunes then you'll love Outlaw Tennis."
- Blitz: The League Screenshots (Xbox)
"This game is so scared of the competition they should change the name of the game to John D. Rockefeller 2006 as these fools needed a monopoly just to feel safe with their No Fun League game."
- Stacked with Daniel Negreanu: Environments Trailer (Xbox)
"A Texas Hold 'em game that captures the spirit of the professional poker tour, Stacked utilizes an advanced learning artificial intelligence system that adapts to each player's style of play and a detailed tutorial mode to deliver a thrilling and realistic poker experience."
- Wayne Rooney and Ronaldinho Endorse FIFA 06 (Xbox)
"Electronic Arts announced today Wayne Rooney and Ronaldinho as cover stars for EA SPORTS' FIFA 06, due for release this fall. These partnerships build on the success of EA SPORTS' FIFA, Europe's best selling sports game franchise ever."
"The over-the-top arcade racing combines nicely with the damage model and crash effects so your car is prone to blowing up with doors and tires flying across the screen. The sense of speed is very real with a very cool slow motion camera that shows crashes that either the player causes or is involved in."
"All that said, Madden NFL 2006 is the football game to get this year. It is far and away the most cerebral sports title ever released, forcing both the offensive and defensive coordination to methodically attack each other in order to achieve their respective goals. Careful and well thought out strategy is the name of the game, much more so than relying on frantic, on the field playmaking."
"Visually it was easy to tell the game was still in development, but still it managed to throw in (sorry) a good show. The teams we played with - Aston Villa [cheers!] and Liverpool [booos!] - already had surprisingly up-to-date players from all the latest transfers, which obviously bodes well for the promise of the freshest statistics being used by the time of release. As usual, some players looked rather... unfamiliar, compared to their real life counterparts, but most of them carried a close enough resemblance to keep fans happy, and the animation was sharp, without too much jarring between frames when chopping and changing moves on the pitch."
"Same thing this year, as FIFA 06 is waiting impatiently till it is sent out onto the field. And like players in their new shirts, the game will come in a new box, starring Wayne Rooney and Ronaldinho."
