“Zen Studios released Planet Minigolf on PlayStation Network back in 2010 and players are still enjoying that game today. The community has been very vocal over the years, sharing their ideas for a new game, and they gave us more than enough new ideas to come back and develop a minigolf game for this console generation,” said Tamas Balog, Head of Studio at Zen Studios. “The team has spent a lot of time developing better tools for players to make their own content – which was the number one request from players. If you enjoy minigolf as well as creating and sharing your own content, Infinite Minigolf was designed for you.”

Using the robust toolset contained in the course editor, players are the creators, and can showcase their creative abilities to players all over the world! Players will place course tiles and a vast assortment of gameplay objects into beautifully crafted environments as they create amazing minigolf courses.

Players can participate in 8-player online multiplayer matchups, local multiplayer matchups, and a variety of fun single player modes. Unlock a huge selection of cool minigolf gear, discover fun powerups that elevate minigolf gameplay to new levels of excitement.

The PlayStation 4 and Steam versions support PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive respectively, so players can experience the world of Infinite Minigolf in stunning VR, allowing environments to spring to life in exciting ways, making for the definitive VR golf experience. Build your creations and tour them in stunning VR!

Infinite Minigolf features incredibly accurate ball physics, in addition to dazzling graphics and detailed environments, each with a distinct visual theme and gameplay features.

As a fan of old-school hockey games, I was very excited to try V7 Entertainment’s Old Time Hockey. It appeared to be everything I loved about the NHL games of the early '90s, and I was anxious to see how it compared.

FIFA 17 is available now in The Vault, for both EA Access (Xbox One) and Origin Access (PC) subscribers. If you are not seeing it in the app, try downloading it from here.

For those of you that might still be unaware, EA Access is an Xbox One exclusive, allowing members to try upcoming EA games prior to release, offering 10% off all EA digital purchases and more. It also gives users access to The Vault, which houses a growing library of EA games subscribers can play as much as they want. Users can subscribe to EA Access for $4.99 per month, or $29.99 for a full year.

Origin Access, exclusive for PC users, is very similar to the Xbox One subscription service, EA Access. While EA Access offers monthly ($4.99) and annual ($29.99) subscriptions, Origin Access is a monthly subscription ($4.99) service only. PlayStation 4 users are still left out in the cold, since Sony hasn't budged from their previous statements and don't expect to anytime soon.

The mindset of a pitcher should be forever changing. Every hitter represents another battle that necessitates a new plan of attack. When these best-laid plans inevitably go awry because it’s impossible to execute perfectly and stymie whoever is at the plate with every pitch, it’s imperative that adjustments then be made on the fly. At times on the mound, you’re going to want to establish your dominance with an overpowering fastball on the inside corner. Elsewhere, you’ll be trying to set a hitter up with a pitch outside the zone, and ultimately, there will come a time when you’ll need to be ready to go in for the kill. Though every at-bat is bound to be its own slightly different struggle, the one constant will be the same counts that you’ll encounter over and over and over again. With that in mind, here are some thoughts on how to approach each of the different counts you’ll come across while pitching in MLB The Show 17.

First, a confession: other than periodic bursts of Super Stickman Golf addiction, I am not what you would call a “mobile gamer” on any consistent basis. I find Twitter and Twitch much more appealing than trying to deal with phone games with sometimes spotty controls on a much smaller screen than I am used to playing with on console games.

A second confession: I’ve never played a sports text sim. I did buy Out of the Park Baseball 16 when a mid-season sale put it at a price that put little resistance in the way of my curiosity. I excitedly installed it, took one glance at the mind-boggling number of features, menu items and possible ways to play the game and got overwhelmed to the point of no return. Sometimes -- especially without a solid tutorial or walkthrough for new players -- there can absolutely be too much of a good thing. I retreated to the familiar cocoon of MLB The Show and didn’t give OOTP a second thought.

So why, may you ask, am I writing about MLB Manager 17 ($4.99, Apple App Store/$4.49, Google Play) the mobile-friendly MLB text sim from Out of the Park Developments? I’m happy to report that after playing this game for over a week, I have fallen deep into a rabbit hole I don’t want to get out of.

Editor Chris Sanner recently got a chance to go out to 2K and chat with several members of the NBA 2K team about what it was like to go from a member of the OS and Sports Gaming Community to working in gaming.

This is our last video in this series, and it covers several very good and helpful topics from how to get noticed by developers, how you can stand out as someone who is respected and listened to, what sacrifices are made working in gaming, and some parting advice from our panelists!

As part of this series, we are also wanting to encourage anyone interested in working in gaming to look into it. The results of what former OS'ers have been able to do at 2K Sports in particular speaks for itself.

If you are interested in seeing if you have what it takes, we are encouraging all members of the community to contact Chad Riggleman, a recruiter at 2K Sports, about how you may fit in with their future. E-mail Chad at [email protected].
